About

About

Experienced backend developer with 10+ years in the field, now focused on driving AI adoption in software development teams. As Backend Community AI Champion at Cognizant Netcentric, I built and maintain an internal AI tooling marketplace for backend engineers, and I design and deliver the training sessions that get teams actually using it. I do this alongside my regular work as a senior backend engineer on large-scale Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) platforms — Java, JCR, Apache Sling, OSGi — which keeps me close to the day-to-day problems the engineers I train are dealing with.

I also have experience as technical co-founder of a small startup, where I was responsible for all technical decisions and built a SaaS product from prototype to production.

What I'm doing now

AI adoption & enablement

Primary author of an internal AI-tooling marketplace used across the backend engineering organization, plus the onboarding and deep-dive training sessions that drive its adoption.

Senior AEM engineering

Sole senior contributor pattern on a large-scale Adobe Experience Manager platform: PIM integration, product/parts filtering, a Jackrabbit Oak search-index migration, dispatcher and release engineering, and localization.

Platform health

Beyond features: dispatcher and cache tuning, concurrency and thread-safety fixes, CI/CD and build tooling, and repository/index migrations that keep large systems reliable at scale.

Experience

Senior Backend Engineer & Backend Community AI Champion

Cognizant Netcentric2023 – Present

  • Built and maintain an internal AI tooling marketplace for backend engineers as primary author, and design/deliver the training that drives its adoption org-wide.
  • Sole senior contributor on a large-scale AEM platform: PIM integration, product/parts filtering, a Jackrabbit Oak search-index migration, dispatcher/release engineering, and localization.
  • Contributed high-impact fixes to a shared platform-core library used across a multi-brand estate — content-activation workflows, thread-safety fixes in resource-resolver handling, and dispatcher cache/HTTP client refactoring.
  • Independently authored a JUnit 5 testing module for validating Oak Lucene index definitions, and designed/built Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) services and serverless APIs from the ground up.

Technical Co-Founder

Hyggs2021 – 2023

  • Owned all technical decisions for a services marketplace connecting clients and suppliers, taking the product from prototype to production (C#, ASP.NET Core, Blazor, PostgreSQL/SQL Server, Azure and GCP).
  • Built the core request-management app end to end — onboarding, editing, and address-management flows — plus admin/back-office tooling and an operations dashboard.
  • Built a KYC/compliance intake pipeline processing structured submissions against onboarding requirements.
  • Hired and led an outsourced team of 9 engineers who rebuilt the platform in PHP, integrating Stripe, Firebase, and GCP.

AEM Platform Engineer

Global consumer goods brand platforms2018 – 2021

  • Built and maintained shared AEM components and pattern libraries used across a dozen+ brand and market sites (Java, JCR, Apache Sling, OSGi).
  • Developed cart/checkout and promotional components for two direct-to-consumer storefronts, sustained over about a year.
  • Fixed authentication and webhook logging issues on a CRM platform's third-party identity integration.
  • Maintained AEM server environments — dependency versions, memory tuning, ACS Commons — across several brand server repositories.
