Background

I’ve been a backend developer for more than ten years, most of it on large Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) platforms built with Java, JCR, Apache Sling and OSGi.

Before joining Cognizant Netcentric I was the technical co-founder of Hyggs, a services marketplace connecting clients and suppliers. I made all the technical decisions and took it from prototype to production.

What I’m doing now

I’m a senior engineer at Cognizant Netcentric and the Backend Community AI Champion there. I built and look after an internal marketplace of AI tools for our backend engineers, and I plan and run the training that goes with it, both onboarding and more in-depth sessions. Since I still do the regular engineering work, I run into the same problems as the people I’m training.

On the engineering side, I’m the only senior developer on a large AEM platform. That covers the PIM integration, product and parts filtering, a Jackrabbit Oak search index migration, dispatcher and release work, and localization. I also tune caches, fix thread-safety bugs, look after CI/CD and build tooling, and run repository migrations.
